Club Racing
PHRF Weekend Racing Series

The Blue Moon Series is underway, bringing crisp breezes, close racing, and a great way to wrap up the 2025 season. With fall shifting into winter, each week brings different conditions from light air one day, a chilly front the next, keeping the fleet on its toes.
Whether you’re racing, crewing, or watching from the dock, it’s been a fun and competitive way to close out the year on the water.
Blue Moon Series Dates and PRO:

December 7 - Blue Moon 4: Matt Arno
December 14 - Blue Moon 5: Race Committee Chairman
Race your own sailboat, join a crew, or check out a J22 to get out on the water for Sunday racing and then socialize in the clubhouse after racing with fellow racers and members.
After the holidays, the Marigail Series will kick off the 2026 FWBC Club Racing Circuits.
See the Club Racing Page for Series Registration, Notice of Race (NOR), and Sailing Instructions (SIs).

Sailboat GPS Racing Trackers

We hope you're keeping up with the club races through the Trackers shared and hosted by Juan Carlos Romero, FWBC's Sailing Director. After the race, see the associated Slack channel for the tracker info. It is a great way to see what happens on the water and improve your sailing skills by getting a big picture view

Youth Sailing
Junior Team's End of Season Regattas and Results!
The final TSA regatta of the year took place at RCYC on November 8 - 9, serving up a true Texas fall weather combo: no wind on Saturday, then 20–30 knots and big waves on Sunday. Our sailors rose to the challenge, battling the breeze, the chop, and a sharp temperature drop with grit and great attitudes.
As always, the best part was the camaraderie among the Youth TSA Circuit participants. Whether they were playing games on shore during the postponements or cheering each other on in the tough conditions, our sailors showed teamwork and support all weekend long.
2025 Overall TSA Results
Our sailors had a standout year on the 2025 TSA Youth Circuit, showing consistency, growth, and impressive finishes across 13 regattas throughout the season. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and the results they earned in their fleets.

Some of our sailors finished the season strong at the USODA Allstate Sugar Bowl Optimist Midwinters Championships at Southern Yacht Club, held November 28 - 29.
Marshall Rodriguez took 1st place, earning the top spot in a highly competitive fleet. Patrick Rodriguez also had a solid event, finishing 15th overall.

November Event Recaps
Annual Turkey Trot- Sailboats, Kayaks, Ducks, and Fun!
Our annual Turkey Trot Regatta once again delivered an afternoon full of laughter, creativity, and good-natured chaos on the water! Thank you to everyone who came out on November 22 to keep this beloved FWBC tradition going strong!
Armed with nets and plenty of determination, sailors scooped up ducks, battled for bragging rights, and showed off some impressive boat handling while finding the best path through the ducks.
The spirit of the event was exactly what makes FWBC special: camaraderie, silliness, and a shared love for being on the water together. Huge thanks to everyone who participated, cheered from boats on the water, or helped make the event run smoothly.
Look out for information about our "Easter Egg Hunt Regatta" as we get into the spring season!
