FWBC Summer Camps 2024!
This summer was one for the books, with over 210 campers joining us for an action-packed season of sailing, adventure, and outdoor fun. Our Sailing Camp saw young sailors mastering the waves, while Adventure Camp kept everyone on their toes with kayaking, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors. Even our youngest campers, the Little Dogies, had their share of excitement, from building noodle boats to splashing in the lake.
With great weather and an enthusiastic group of campers, this summer turned out to be one of our most successful ever. The friendships made, skills learned, and memories created will surely last a lifetime. We’re grateful to everyone who made it possible and can’t wait to welcome even more campers next year for another season of unforgettable experiences!
A heartfelt thank you to Martin Peacey and Jon Bonnell, two generous members who dedicated their time and resources to make this summer truly special. Martin took a group of campers out for a morning of sailing on his J105, Skyfall, providing them with an exhilarating experience on a larger racing vessel. Meanwhile, Jon and his team grilled burgers and hot dogs for our campers each week, allowing the kids to enjoy jumping and playing at his beach and dock. These two individuals truly embody the spirit of community and giving back, and we are forever grateful for their support.
Overall, it was an amazing summer filled with laughter, learning, and new experiences. We are proud to have provided a safe and enjoyable environment for kids to grow and make memories. Thank you to all our campers, staff, volunteers, and supporters who made this summer one for the books. We can't wait to see what next year's camps will bring! Until then, keep sailing fast and having fun out on the water!
